Course description

This course provides basic aviation knowledge that is essential for students to enter the aviation industries. Appreciating history will motivate students to learn more about the industry. The evolution of aviation throughout the last century has enabled mankind to change the air transportation industry tremendously and becoming the number one passenger transporter, overtaking the sea liners and trains. This knowledge can be useful in the appreciation of the industry to date.

What will i learn?

• Describe in detail the aviation history’s timeline starting from the initial until the current time and describe the famous person in aviation history, including Wright Brothers, Zeppelin airship and Charles Lindbergh (C2,PLO1).
• Describe about types or airplanes,aircraft components and engines with their applications, how an aircraft and helicopter can fly by relate it with four forces (C2,PLO6).
• Examine regarding the condition of our aviation industry including airport around the world and Malaysia (C3, PLO3).
